Dimas Alexis Lazo has been arrested following a months-long investigation into a reported sexual assault in Woodbridge involving a minor.
Shortly after midnight on Nov. 26, 2023, officers from the Prince William County Police Department were called to a Woodbridge home after a family member intervened when Lazo was allegedly sexually assaulting the juvenile.
Police say that when the family member intervened and separated the two, Lazo fled the area.
The investigation into the sexual assault determined that Lazo and the victim met on a social media app and arranged to meet at the family member's Woodbridge home.
Lazo was identified as a suspect and warrants were issued for his arrest.
The College Park resident was arrested on Tuesday and charged with rape. His next court date is pending and bond information was unavailable.
